OVERVIEW AND EXPERIENCE
Adv. Amitai Erlich is a founding partner of Goldman, Erlich, Edelstein, Avigad & Co., which was established 25 years ago. Amitai heads the firm’s Real Estate Department, and specializes in managing project initiation, planning and construction, taxation, and finance. He also specializes in commercial law and the protection of multinational family wealth.
Amitai’s main area of activity is real estate, and his clients include developers and private individuals as well as contractors and some of Israel’s largest construction companies. His extensive experience includes assisting developers to change land designation, initiate projects, Tama 38, purchase groups, taxation, managing assets for foreign residents, commercial and residential real estate, hotels, and more.
Amitai is very knowledgeable and experienced in overseas real estate activity, including real estate investments in Europe, assisting developers with their overseas activity, and representing foreign residents in their real estate activity in Israel, including large scale projects throughout the country.
In addition to his expertise in real estate, Amitai plays an active role in the provision of commercial advice to the firm’s clients. He assists in large transactions, some being high profile, and also provides regular advice to corporations in the fields of real estate, infrastructures, commerce and industry, high tech, banking, and others among the firm’s clientele. Together with Adv. Amir Goldman, Amitai counsels clients and helps to plan the firm’s work in the protection of multinational family wealth.
Apart from his extensive expertise in his areas of activity, Amitai has a large network of close contacts with numerous professionals in these areas, such as finance, taxation, planning and construction, marketing, planning, supervision and execution. A thorough understanding of professional practice, backed by familiarity with all the elements involved in real estate in Israel, gives Amitai the ability to provide the full range of legal support combined with business advice. All these features give Amitai’s clients the confidence to entrust him with the management of complex projects, without needing to worry about the details. Many of Amitai’s clients are foreign residents who are not involved in the local market and are not able to supervise daily operations, and these are the clients who are in particular need of his expertise.
The service that Amitai provides for his clients is characterized by personal and friendly attention, with an emphasis on deep loyalty to their interests and needs. Amitai believes that his role as a lawyer is to advance transactions and facilitate the execution of processes rather than to throw a wrench into them. His close and loyal relations with his clients, together with his absolute devotion to their needs at every stage, give his clients the confidence that their affairs are in good, safe hands.
Amitai completed his legal internship in the firm of M. Seligman, where he met Amir Goldman, a fellow intern. At the end of their internship, Amir and Amitai established the firm of Goldman Erlich & Co.
In addition to his professional activity, Amitai volunteers as a director of the Gertner Institute for Epidemiology and Health Policy Research in Tel HaShomer hospital, of HaShomer HaChadash organization, and of Tzohar Food Supervision. Amitai is also active in volunteering in Hetz For Israel and as a trustee in several charity funds in Israel and overseas. He completed his IDF service in the Golani Brigade and the Medical Corps. He recently retired from active reserve duty, with the rank of Major. Amitai is above all a family man, who loves music, reading, and outings in nature.
